About the position

Charm Dental is seeking a dynamic and experienced HR and Operations Manager to lead, organize, and optimize human resources and day-to-day operations at their Spring and Humble locations. The role focuses on enhancing patient care, efficiency, teamwork, ethics, and clear communication within the practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR and operations management, with the ability to provide leadership and strategic direction to the growing practice.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and training of new team members, ensuring alignment with Charm Dental's values and goals.
  • Implement and manage HR policies, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Address and resolve employee relations issues in a fair, consistent manner, fostering a positive work environment.
  • Manage performance appraisals and establish development plans, driving growth, accountability, and engagement.
  • Oversee payroll processing, timekeeping, and benefits administration.
  • Optimize day-to-day operations to improve productivity and ensure the delivery of excellent patient care.
  • Monitor and improve patient flow, scheduling efficiency, and appointment adherence.
  • Manage inventory and supply ordering, ensuring cost-efficiency and timely availability of materials and supplies.
  • Coordinate with clinic managers and team leads to address staffing needs and optimize schedules.
  • Analyze operational data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
  • Provide leadership and support to a team of dental and administrative staff, promoting a cohesive, motivated work culture.
  • Collaborate with team members to address challenges, communicate expectations, and set measurable goals.
  • Ensure all employees have access to ongoing training and professional development to support high standards of care and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with all OSHA, HIPAA, and other regulatory requirements, maintaining a safe environment for both patients and staff.
  • Regularly review and update clinic policies to reflect current best practices and industry standards.
  • Work to continuously improve the patient experience by implementing feedback and monitoring patient satisfaction metrics.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to support patient retention and new patient acquisition through community outreach and engagement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in HR and operations management; experience in a healthcare or dental setting is preferred but not required.
  • Strong understanding of employment laws, HR best practices, and operations management principles.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with HR software and practice management systems is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams, with a focus on accountability, engagement, and teamwork.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of dental or healthcare-specific software.
  • Previous experience managing compliance in healthcare settings, including HIPAA and OSHA requirements.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
