About the position

The HR and Recruitment Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting the Human Resources department at Central Texas College. This full-time position focuses on recruitment services, coordinating and implementing HR management programs, and performing various administrative tasks. The specialist will report directly to the Recruitment Supervisor and work closely with the Chief Human Resource Officer.

Responsibilities

  • Support the HR department with specialized assistance for Recruitment Services.
  • Coordinate and implement Human Resource Management programs and processes.
  • Perform administrative tasks related to recruitment and HR functions.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associates Degree from an accredited institution preferred.
  • Eight years of clerical/secretarial experience with a high school diploma or GED, or Certificate relevant trade school (60 credits toward a degree) and four years wage earning clerical experience, or Associates Degree and two years wage earning clerical experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Demonstrated written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively with the public and all levels of employees.
  • Capable of making discretionary and tactful decisions.
  • Self-starter with a neat appearance and high attention to detail.
  • Ability to analyze large amounts of data.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a higher education environment.
  • Knowledge of HR management programs.
