About the position

The HR Assistant, Onboarding at YRCI plays a crucial role in supporting the Staffing group with various onboarding and processing activities. This position involves extending offers of employment, drafting offer letters, and managing employment records for new hires. The HR Assistant will utilize Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) to provide data for reporting and ensure a smooth onboarding process for new employees.

Responsibilities

  • Extend offers of employment to selected candidates within OPM compensation policy guidelines.
  • Draft Tentative and Final offer letters to selected candidates.
  • Prepare Above the Minimum (ATM)/Superior Qualification requests.
  • Request employment records through electronic Official Personnel Folder (eOPF) and Standard Form (SF) 75 data from losing agency for transfer employees.
  • Review, prepare, and code Accession SF-52's per OPM Guide to Coding and Processing.
  • Execute a wide range of HRIS, databases, and retrieval methods for reporting purposes.

Requirements

  • Three (3) years of experience in Federal processing and onboarding.
  • Proven administrative skills and experience with HR automated systems.
  • Experience performing staffing duties specific to the onboarding process.
  • Demonstrated skills in organizing, supporting, and completing office work with competing priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Ability to support multiple HR Specialists while maintaining excellent customer service.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with USA Staffing Upgrade is highly preferred.
  • A college degree is preferred.
