About the position

The HR Assistant, Onboarding position is responsible for supporting the Staffing group with various onboarding and processing activities. This role involves extending offers of employment, drafting offer letters, and preparing compensation-related documentation while ensuring compliance with OPM policies. The HR Assistant will also manage employment records and execute HRIS tasks to facilitate data reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Extend offers of employment to selected candidates within OPM compensation policy guidelines.
  • Draft Tentative and Final offer letters to selected candidates.
  • Prepare Above the Minimum (ATM)/Superior Qualification documentation.
  • Request employment records through eOPF, OPF, and SF-75 data from losing agency for transferring employees.
  • Review, prepare, and code Accession SF-52's according to OPM guidelines.
  • Execute HRIS tasks and manage databases for reporting purposes.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of OPM compensation policies and guidelines.
  • Experience in drafting employment offer letters and related documentation.
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems and data management.
  • Ability to review and code HR forms accurately.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with USA Staffing Upgrade system.
  • Knowledge of federal employment processes and regulations.
