About the position

The Human Resources Assistant - Onboarding at Sendik's Food Markets plays a crucial role in supporting the HR team by managing administrative functions related to onboarding and recruitment. This position is essential for ensuring a smooth onboarding process for new hires and assisting in the recruitment of top talent in a fast-paced, customer-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve customers, associates, vendors, and partners while modeling Sendik's culture and providing 'best in class' customer service.
• Respond to candidate inquiries and provide support and assistance to resolve questions accordingly.
• Plan and execute weekly new hire orientations including coordination of schedules and material preparation.
• Assist with filling open positions efficiently and effectively with top talent based on volume.
• Maintain applications and correspond with candidates.
• Actively source top candidates to fill positions.
• Conduct phone interviews and schedule in-person interviews with candidates for all store locations.
• Manage associate electronic files and ensure required forms are completed timely.
• Oversee the employee referral program (BEEP).
• Perform various administrative responsibilities in support of HR programs and initiatives.
• Assist with Birthday coupon reporting and serve as back-up for the reception desk.
• Review standard operating procedures and seek ways to improve current programs and processes.

Requirements

• Associates degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Human Resources experience preferred.
• Experience in the retail industry preferred.
• Ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels, internally and externally.
• Proficient in computer programs such as Word, Excel, and Google Docs.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills; strong continuous improvement mindset.
• Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
• Ability to work at a fast-paced and efficient manner.
