About the position

The HR Assistant at Myers Controlled Power LLC plays a crucial role in providing day-to-day HR support, including employee onboarding, recruiting, benefit administration, and ensuring compliance with HR regulations. This position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality while building relationships with management and supervisory teams.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for employee new hire orientation and onboarding
  • Maintaining files and records including personnel files, training, grievances, and disciplinary actions
  • Enrollment of employee health benefits
  • Posting job openings, reviewing applicants, scheduling interviews
  • Manage absenteeism reporting
  • Assist the managers with the employee separation process
  • Support the managers and supervisors with employee-related matters
  • Serve as a compliance regulatory advisor

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Bachelor's or associate's degree in a related field preferred
  • Minimum 3 years HR experience preferred
  • Manufacturing processes knowledge a plus
  • HRIS software knowledge a plus
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office knowledge required
  • HSE experience a plus
  • Understanding and knowledge of federal, state, county HR related laws and regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to effectively interface with all levels of employees and build strong working relationships
  • Demonstrated time management skills
  • Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal, or diagrammatic form
  • Able to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
  • Written and spoken English required/Spanish a plus
  • Professional Certification(s) - HR certification a plus
