About the position

Operation PAR, Inc. is seeking a dedicated HR Benefits Coordinator to join our team in Pinellas Park, FL. As a non-profit organization, we have been providing comprehensive behavioral health treatment in West Florida since 1970, focusing on advocacy, education, clinical services, and research for individuals with substance use and/or mental health disorders. The HR Benefits Coordinator will play a crucial role in administering and managing our employee benefits programs, ensuring that our staff receives the support and resources they need to thrive in their roles. In this position, you will be responsible for overseeing a variety of employee benefits programs, including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D), Long-Term Disability (LTD), Health Savings Accounts (HSA), Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA), and Retirement Plans. You will conduct New Employee Orientation and Enrollment processes, ensuring that new hires are well-informed about their benefits options. Additionally, you will manage the Digital Annual Open Enrollment process, ensuring compliance with HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, and other relevant regulations. Your role will also involve maintaining contact with brokers, carriers, and third-party administrators (TPAs) to ensure smooth operations and compliance. You will be responsible for reconciling benefit-related invoices and providing support to employees regarding benefits inquiries and issues. Conducting administration, compliance, and audit activities related to employee benefits will also be a key part of your responsibilities. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and manage employee benefits programs, including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, AD&D, LTD, HSA, FSA, Retirement Plans, and Employee Wellness Programs.
  • Conduct New Employee Orientation and Enrollment processes.
  • Oversee the Digital Annual Open Enrollment process.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, and other relevant regulations.
  • Handle plan designs, contract compliance, and claims analysis.
  • Maintain contact with brokers, carriers, and third-party administrators (TPAs).
  • Reconcile benefit-related invoices.
  • Provide support and assistance to all employees regarding benefits inquiries and issues.
  • Conduct administration, compliance, and audit activities related to employee benefits.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3 to 5 years of direct experience in benefits administration.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Technical knowledge in plan designs, contract compliance, and claims analysis.
  • Experience working with brokers, carriers, and TPAs.
  • Strong understanding of HIPAA, COBRA, and FMLA compliance.
  • Experience in administration, compliance, and audits.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now, Carrier Connections, and Zoom is preferred.
