About the position

The HR Benefits Specialist at RiVidium, Inc. is responsible for managing and processing employee benefits documentation, ensuring compliance with federal regulations, and providing expert assistance to employees regarding their benefits. This role involves a high volume of documentation processing, communication with employees, and collaboration with federal staff to resolve complex benefits inquiries.

Responsibilities

  • Research regulatory federal guidance, regulations, policy and processes related to Benefits processes.
  • Receive and process benefits related documents, ensuring proper certification and completion of forms.
  • Answer general telephone and email inquiries regarding benefits and escalate complex questions as needed.
  • Validate Service Computation Date (SCD) calculations for leave according to OPM guidelines.
  • Review, certify, and input benefits forms into HR Connect, ensuring proper filing and tracking of documents.
  • Process benefits-related Personnel Action Requests (PARs) and verify data processing entries for separations.
  • Address and resolve errors from actions processed in HR CONNECT and employee-generated actions.
  • Assist with the assembly of benefits materials for new hires and various benefits briefings.
  • Track new hire benefit form submissions and notify employees of deadlines.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree.
  • At least 10 years of progressively responsible experience in Federal employee benefits or similar functions.

  • Expertise in providing assistance to Federal agencies in employee benefits administration.
  • Recognized expert on a full range of Employee benefits actions.
  • Experience in managing and administering comprehensive benefits programs including retirement and work-life programs.
  • Ability to identify problems and trends in retirement and benefits administration.
  • Experience in preparing and conducting benefits orientation briefings.
