About the position

The MIL Corporation is seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP), Analyst to provide comprehensive HR support to its DMV Business Units. This hands-on role involves collaborating with department management to align HR strategies with business objectives, focusing on employee engagement, retention, and development. The HRBP will serve as a primary liaison between HR and Business Unit leadership, ensuring effective communication and support for HR policies and processes. This position is hybrid, requiring in-office attendance at least two days a week in Tysons Corner, VA, along with occasional travel for events and meetings in the DC-metro area.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with department management to align human resources strategy with department objectives focused on engagement and retention.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and build valued relationships with teams from employees to leadership.
  • Support all HR business processes and initiatives.
  • Promote and model an inclusive culture and respectful work environment.
  • Provide respectful, timely, and knowledgeable support to all team members.
  • Facilitate new hire onboarding experience through partnership with recruiting and hiring managers.
  • Manage exit and transfer processing for terminating employees through exit interviews and coordination of paperwork.
  • Advise management in employee relation issues, performance management/improvement, and corrective action.
  • Complete unemployment paperwork for various states.
  • Assist with the administration of HR programs and initiatives as requested.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 3-5 years of Human Resources experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Federal Government contracting.
  • Knowledge of DCAA requirements, SCA, FLSA, DOL and other federal/state employment laws.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and balance conflicting demands.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
