About the position

The HR Business Partner (Bilingual) provides onsite HR support for the Houston Distribution Center, focusing on staffing, onboarding, benefit administration, payroll, workers compensation, and employee engagement. This role is essential in driving process improvements and ensuring that HR considerations are integrated into business decisions. The position requires active engagement with employees and leaders, managing HR systems, and maintaining compliance with policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Actively visible on the floor and maintains an open-door policy for all employees.
  • Work closely with leaders on performance coaching, recruitment and retention strategies, legal issues, and employee relations.
  • Manage open positions in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to ensure an organized recruiting process.
  • Execute Coloplast onboarding program to ensure a standard onboarding plan for new employees and temporary personnel.
  • Accurately process HRIS entry transactions including new hires, terminations, transfers, and promotions.
  • Support all activities related to the People cycle process including training leaders/employees and managing project plans.
  • Partner with management to enforce policies and procedures to ensure compliance and performance expectations.
  • Maintain high levels of confidentiality when handling employee relations issues and sensitive documents.
  • Interface with external customers, law firms, and HR service vendors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in HR or related field.
  • 2+ years of HR business partnering/generalist experience.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Working knowledge of common human resources and payroll practices; Federal and State regulations.
  • Strong detail orientation with a high degree of accuracy and sense of urgency.
  • Proven ability to provide a high level of customer service.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize job tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to drive and influence change.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a manufacturing and/or distribution center.
  • Multi-site experience.
  • PHR/SHRM-CP Certification.
