About The Position

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) plays a crucial role in consulting with clients to develop and implement effective HR programs and policies that foster a positive work environment. This position involves active participation in the development and execution of client-specific and organizational business plans, while also serving as the primary point of contact for leadership and employees regarding HR policies and practices. The HRBP is responsible for coaching and training leaders to align operational and strategic objectives with HR goals, and may also engage in recruitment and other HR-related duties.

Requirements

  • Three years of progressively responsible Human Resource experience, preferably in employee and labor relations, with emphasis on experience in healthcare or other human service organizations.
  • B.A. or B.S. degree, preferably in Human Resources, Organizational Development or another related discipline.
  • Masters degree in Business, H.R. or Organizational Design/Development preferred.
  • Professional certification, either as a PHR or SPHR, or equivalent certification in a related human resources field preferred.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently in managing multiple projects.
  • Excellent consulting and customer service skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in healthcare or human service organizations.
  • Professional certification in a related human resources field.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and executes HR plans and strategies to accomplish business objectives for assigned areas.
  • Ensures that human resource services delivered are value added, effective and consistent with both departmental and organizational business and strategic objectives.
  • Provides necessary consulting support and takes proactive steps to enhance the growth of a performance-based culture in areas of assigned responsibility.
  • Acts as the first point of contact for leadership group and employees on HR issues.
  • Consults with clients on performance management, workforce engagement, total compensation, and human resources development.
  • Provides counsel on employment law related concerns such as ADA, FMLA, FLSA, Title VII, etc.
  • Identifies workforce engagement opportunities and develops action plans to improve the work environment.
  • Works with clients on complex employee issues including investigations and workplace violence situations.
  • Leads in the design, development, and implementation of special projects and HR initiatives.
  • Participates in activities related to creating and maintaining a positive work environment.
