About the position

The HR Business Partner serves as a strategic partner within the Human Resources department, focusing on aligning HR initiatives with organizational goals. This role involves providing day-to-day HR support, enhancing employee relations, and facilitating performance management processes. The HR Business Partner will work closely with management to improve work relationships, employee engagement, and retention while ensuring compliance with HR policies and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic partners and stakeholders.
  • Learn and understand the business to align HR goals with overall business objectives.
  • Manage ambiguity and support organizational change effectively.
  • Demonstrate excellent employee relations skills and make appropriate recommendations/decisions.
  • Negotiate, influence, and persuade while maintaining effective relationships.
  • Connect and communicate effectively with virtual business partners.
  • Manage and maintain a non-union experience.
  • Work independently and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborate as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Demonstrate high professional standards regarding customer service, integrity, and confidentiality.
  • Develop an HR agenda that supports business initiatives through participation in leadership meetings.
  • Provide guidance on performance issues, interpersonal conflict, and terminations.
  • Conduct thorough investigations of employee complaints and ensure prompt resolution.
  • Support the performance management process and facilitate goal setting.
  • Identify training needs and assist with management coaching.
  • Assist in compensation planning and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Maintain data integrity for employee information and assist with employee enrollment from acquisitions.
  • Implement efficient HR processes for continuous improvement.
  • Assist in projects and reporting as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; preferred certifications include SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or HRCI certification.
  • 5 - 8 years of progressive Human Resources Generalist experience, preferably in a healthcare environment.
  • Excellent organizational and customer service skills to serve a diverse client base.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with web-based applicant tracking systems and HRIS.
  • Compensation expertise with experience in developing and maintaining salary programs is a plus.
  • Strong computer skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a healthcare environment is preferred.
  • Certifications such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or HRCI certification.
