About the position

The HR Chief of Staff at Equinix plays a crucial role in supporting two Global HR leaders by managing day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives. This position requires a collaborative and organized individual who can effectively align HR stakeholders and drive measurable results while fostering strong relationships across various levels of the organization. The role is split evenly between supporting the Global VP HR Tech and Product Business Partnering and the Global VP HR Experience Delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Be a sounding board to senior leaders and team members in HR to help maintain and build a successful and healthy organization.
  • Lead strategic initiatives in support of the HR and business strategy.
  • Produce and own plans, build content and presentations, and ensure all parties involved are held accountable for deliverables and timelines.
  • Anticipate needs and make plans for resolving them ahead of time.
  • Identify issues across the organization and create paths to solve them.
  • Guide leadership towards clear, efficient, and accountable decision-making.
  • Have a strong pulse and feedback loop on organizational needs.
  • Work closely with regional HR Chiefs of Staff to maintain alignment across the regions.
  • Chair leadership meetings, ensuring relevant agenda and discussion points.
  • Partner closely on annual budget process and day-to-day budget management.
  • Support both leaders with content creation, preparation and presentation.
  • Program manage specific initiatives sponsored by their leaders as agreed.
  • Work closely and coach Executive Assistant in the team.

Requirements

  • Experience in HR is required.
  • Experience in consulting environment required.
  • Strong project management skills are required.
  • Able to manage cross functional projects in a dynamic and fluid environment.
  • High learning agility and ability to make connections.
  • Strong written and verbal clear communication skills with the ability to interact with various levels in an organization.
  • Exhibits collaboration skills with the ability to form deep and trusted relationships, across organizations, including key internal and external stakeholders to achieve common goals.
  • High tolerance for ambiguity and complexity, and efficient with limited resources.
  • Track record of achievement, with sound thinking and judgment.
  • Highest level of integrity and discretion in managing of confidential information.
  • High levels of emotional intelligence and empathy.
