About the position

The HR Compensation Analyst position at TSI is a full-time contract role based in Fairfax, VA, with an estimated duration of over six months. This position is designed for an experienced HR Classification & Compensation Analyst who possesses a strong background in human resources, particularly in compensation and classification. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of HR experience, with a minimum of three years specifically focused on compensation and classification. This role is critical in evaluating and classifying positions within a formal classification system to determine appropriate classification and compensation levels. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate thorough knowledge of HR principles and practices, including applicable federal and state laws and regulations governing compensation and employment. The role requires effective communication skills, with the ability to tailor both oral and written communication based on the audience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, HRIS software, and reporting tools is essential for success in this position. This is an immediate opening, and interested candidates must be available for interviews now and be prepared to start within a week. The work schedule is a standard 8-hour shift from Monday to Friday, with an expected workload of 40 hours per week. The position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $33 to $36, depending on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5 years of experience in Human Resources, with 3 years specifically in compensation/classification.
  • Demonstrated experience evaluating and classifying positions in a formal classification system.
  • Thorough knowledge of HR principles and practices, including applicable federal/state laws/regulations governing compensation and employment.
  • Full proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS software.
