About the position

The HR Compliance Specialist will be responsible for ensuring that the company adheres to state, federal, and industry regulations while fostering a compliant and positive work environment. This role involves developing compliance programs, conducting audits, and training staff on relevant regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive compliance program.
• Ensure company policies, handbooks, and internal controls align with legal standards.
• Conduct audits to identify compliance risks and weaknesses.
• Collaborate with external auditors, accountants, and insurance agents.
• Manage compliance for new office locations, including taxes, insurance, and liability.
• Educate and train staff on compliance regulations, including OSHA standards.
• Support HR inquiries and employee engagement initiatives.

Requirements

• 2+ years of HR experience, particularly in compliance.
• Strong knowledge of labor laws, OSHA regulations, and worker's compensation.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information with professionalism.
