About the position

The HR Consultant will provide strategic HR guidance and support for a growing window shade manufacturer in Santa Fe Springs. This part-time, contract role involves managing various HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, and compliance with employment laws, while working independently and collaboratively with clients to meet their HR needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide HR consulting services, including developing and implementing HR policies and procedures.
• Conduct training sessions on various HR topics.
• Assist with employee relations issues.
• Manage recruitment and selection processes.
• Administer benefits programs.
• Conduct performance management activities.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with clients to identify their HR needs and develop customized solutions.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in HR.
• Assist with special projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an HR role or consulting capacity.
• Strong knowledge of HR principles and best practices.
• Experience with HR Systems.
• Excellent interviewing skills to assess candidate qualifications.
• Knowledge of benefits administration processes.
• Project management skills to effectively manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Strong administrative skills with attention to detail.

Nice-to-haves

• Professional certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) preferred but not required.
• Spanish Speaking - preferred.
• Proficient in social media management for recruitment purposes.
• Ability to develop and deliver training programs.
