About the position

The HR Content Developer and Writer will work closely with cross-functional operational teams in a manufacturing environment to create, edit, and streamline internal documentation, best practices, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). This role requires a strong background in HR content development and technical writing, with a focus on ensuring clarity and consistency in voice across various documents. The position is fully onsite in Downtown Portland and is offered on a contract basis for a duration of 3+ months.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with operational company stakeholders in accounting, human resources, and similar functions to scope, research, and create new content.
  • Write, edit, and drive consistency throughout operational content, focusing on clarity and accessibility for internal corporate audiences.
  • Review existing process documentation for opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on similar projects, as needed.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of relevant experience as a Content Developer, Technical Writer, Instructional Designer, or similar.
  • Tangible examples of HR and operational content development experience, including SOPs, manuals, and similar work.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Light design experience, including proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite or similar.

Nice-to-haves

  • Exposure to design (infographics, etc.) is a big plus!
  • Experience partnering with subject-matter experts to ensure content is accurate and updated.
