About the position

The HR Coordinator and Data Specialist position at IEM involves facilitating communication of HR policies and procedures among employees and supervisors, providing administrative support to the VP of Human Resources, and generating HR reports. This role requires fluency in both English and Vietnamese and focuses on ensuring compliance with HR regulations while supporting the onboarding process and managing employee records.

Responsibilities

  • Assist employees and supervisors with basic interpretation of HR policies and procedures in both English and Vietnamese.
  • Assist employees with HR/Payroll related inquiries or requests in both English and Vietnamese.
  • Conduct orientation and onboarding process for new hires in both English and Vietnamese.
  • Maintain employee records in compliance with state and federal requirements.
  • Ensure all new hire, terminations, and all other payroll-related changes are accurately reflected in the payroll system.
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the VP of Human Resources.
  • Develop, generate, and distribute standard and ad-hoc HR reports as requested by VP of Human Resources.
  • Process all timesheets thoroughly and timely through the time and attendance software.
  • Respond to reference checks and verifications of employment within 24 hours of request.
  • Administer benefit plans, including enrollments, changes, and terminations on a timely basis.
  • Occasional travel between FRE plant locations.
  • Backup coverage for receptionist during lunch break as needed.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Human Resources.
  • Fluent in English and Vietnamese, both written and spoken.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data analysis tools.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of the principles, practices, and standards of human resources.
  • Highly responsible and reliable, and able to manage confidential information.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively manage projects that may vary in nature and scope.
