About the position

The HR Coordinator position at VINCI Construction Grands Projets USA is a vital role that supports the RLE Project in Chicago, Illinois. This position is designed for an individual who will be instrumental in the development and execution of key HR initiatives while providing support to employees on the project. The HR Coordinator will report directly to the HR Manager based in Alexandria, Virginia, and will be responsible for a variety of HR functions that are essential to the smooth operation of the project. In this role, the HR Coordinator will facilitate day-to-day human resource functions, which include assisting in the recruitment process for all positions. This encompasses managing open requisitions, job postings, scheduling interviews, extending offers, and closing requisitions. The coordinator will also manage the new employee onboarding process, ensuring compliance with background screening and inputting employee data accurately. Conducting new hire orientations is a key responsibility, which involves leading the onboarding process, handling paperwork, applications, documentation, and maintaining employment files. Building and maintaining relationships with management, subcontractors, and employees is crucial for providing support and closure as needed. The HR Coordinator will also support company development plans and programs to ensure that all staff receive the necessary training and experiences. Communication and implementation of company policies regarding employee issues will be part of the role, along with assisting with the Company Annual Appraisal process. The coordinator will prepare outgoing mail and correspondence, manage company career fairs, and provide administrative support while maintaining HR reports for multiple departments. Additionally, the HR Coordinator will coordinate employee morale functions, trainings, and events on-site, collaborating with the Project's Deputy Manager on HR topics as necessary. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant years of experience.
  • Minimum one year experience in Human Resources & Administration.
  • Minimum one year experience recruiting and facilitating the hiring/onboarding processes, with labor law compliance.
  • Strong computer skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, etc.
  • Well-developed written presentation, organization, and editing skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, self-starter, and work in a high-paced environment.
  • Proactive, flexible, and solution-oriented.
  • Customer service focused.
  • Valid driver's license.
