About the position

The HR Coordinator II (Benefits) at Central Valley Meat Co Inc is responsible for assisting in the administration and management of employee benefits programs. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who ensures compliance with legal requirements while providing exceptional service to employees regarding their benefits inquiries. The coordinator will collaborate with the HR team to promote well-being programs and maintain accurate benefits records.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with implementing and maintaining benefits plans, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, and retirement plans.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee benefits questions, guiding them on plan features, enrollment, and claims resolution.
  • Coordinate benefits enrollment and termination processes, ensuring timely and accurate entry into benefits systems.
  • Conduct new hire orientation for benefits education.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including ACA, COBRA, FMLA, HIPAA, and ERISA.
  • Assist with audits and prepare reports as needed.
  • Communicate with benefits vendors to address employee concerns and resolve issues.
  • Participate in vendor evaluations and renewals.
  • Assist in planning and executing the annual benefits open enrollment, including developing materials and delivering presentations.
  • Support company wellness initiatives and activities, promoting a culture of well-being.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date benefits records and ensure the HRIS system reflects current information.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in benefits administration or HR coordination.
  • CEBS certification is a plus.
  • Bilingual a plus.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, Paycom) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of benefits laws and regulations.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
