About the position

The Human Resources Coordinator/Recruiting Specialist at SCA Pharma plays a crucial role in facilitating human resource processes and managing the recruitment cycle for the organization. This position is responsible for sourcing candidates for various roles, including niche positions, and overseeing the entire hiring process from job posting to onboarding. The HR Specialist will also provide administrative support to the HR function, ensuring efficient record-keeping and compliance with HR policies.

Responsibilities

  • Post all jobs both internal and external through the applicant tracking system/job boards.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert in all aspects of the hiring/selection process, including the applicant tracking system.
  • Utilize both passive and active sourcing techniques to find candidates for hard-to-fill positions.
  • Coordinate and lead recruitment fairs through local universities and trade organizations.
  • Work alongside hiring managers to assess hiring needs and position requirements.
  • Schedule and conduct phone screens and on-site interviews for screening and recommendation purposes.
  • Track the status of candidates in HRIS and send follow-up letters at the end of the recruiting process.
  • Coordinate drug screens, background checks, and orientation for new team members.
  • Submit online investigation requests and assist with new-employee background checks.
  • Process required documents through payroll and insurance providers for accurate record-keeping and deductions.
  • Administer benefit plan information to employees, including enrollments, changes, and terminations.
  • Track, administer, and report on KPI metrics for the HR team.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Recruiting experience in manufacturing or high-volume recruitment preferred.
  • PHR or SHRM CP certification preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Working understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
