About the position

The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the Human Resources department. This role involves managing time and attendance, addressing employee inquiries, processing paperwork, maintaining records, and supporting plant operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in various administrative activities and ensure compliance with employment regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage administrative activities for the Human Resources department including data entry, filing, processing invoices, and reporting.
  • Assist with administrative activities for plant operations as needed.
  • Administer time and attendance and review payroll previews.
  • Serve as the point of contact for employees regarding HR-related questions and issues, including benefits, payroll, employee leave, schedules, and compensation.
  • Coordinate and facilitate new hire orientations and employee training, and develop presentations and materials.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes, including processing new hire paperwork and entering employee records into the HRIS system.
  • Monitor employee leave of absence administration.
  • Support company policies, including the administration of the drug and alcohol program.
  • Create and maintain employee personnel and confidential records.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment regulations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two or more years of administrative experience, preferably in Human Resources.
  • One year of human resources support experience.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks.
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and conduct oneself in a professional manner at all times.
  • Computer proficiency with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and HRIS experience.
