About the position

The HR Coordinator for Warehouse Operations at KeHE Distributors is responsible for managing various human resources activities within the distribution center. This role emphasizes a people-first culture and aims to support employees through effective HR practices, including orientation, benefits administration, and employee engagement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and conduct new employee orientation.
  • Update HR systems with new hire data, terminations, and other changes.
  • Maintain and audit I-9's for all locations.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Administer benefit programs to distribution center employees, including employee changes, open enrollment, and health fairs.
  • Assist with the management of leave of absence programs.
  • Organize employee engagement events.
  • Maintain and manage confidential employee records and files.
  • Manage employee purchases, payroll deductions, and vendor payments for company jackets and ticket purchasing program.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1-2 years of previous HR experience required.
  • Basic knowledge of human resources discipline.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; knowledge of UltiPro or other HRIS systems is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work productively as part of a team.

Nice-to-haves

  • Wholesale distribution experience in food and/or beverage preferred.
  • Spanish language skills preferred.
