About the position

The HR Coordinator at Saputo Inc. plays a vital role in supporting the HR functions for a new facility set to open in Spring 2025. This position is responsible for executing day-to-day HR operations, ensuring positive employee relations, and providing support to employees through various communication channels. The HR Coordinator will also manage employee data updates, assist with recruitment and onboarding, and ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure positive employee relations through proactive communication and issue resolution.
  • Serve as an internal resource for employee inquiries and direct them to appropriate resources.
  • Provide support with employee investigations at the first level for supervisors and hourly employees.
  • Ensure ethics and compliance processes are in place.
  • Maintain accurate and timely employee data updates through HRIS transactions.
  • Perform daily audits of hourly employee time and attendance records.
  • Support local and national HR initiatives and recruitment activities.
  • Assist with onboarding activities and coordinate Leave Administration processes.
  • Ensure maintenance of confidential employee files and compliance with document retention standards.
  • Administer local recognition programs and coordinate training sessions.
  • Support internal and external compliance audits and adhere to the Saputo Code of Ethics.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent or a minimum of 2 years demonstrated experience in an HR administration capacity.
  • Bachelor's degree with a concentration in Human Resources preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, strong Excel skills a plus.
  • Proficiency with HRIS and HR Time Keeping Systems (Kronos, Workday) preferred.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with all departments and management levels.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English.
