About the position

The HR Coordinator/Onboarding Specialist at Reliance Home Health Caregivers is responsible for facilitating human resource processes within a pediatric home health agency. This role ensures compliance with federal and state regulations while managing payroll support, record-keeping, and HRIS management. The position requires strong organizational and communication skills to effectively handle recruitment, employee inquiries, and maintain personnel files.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts recruitment effort for designated positions.
  • Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
  • Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files.
  • Submits new-employee background checks and reference checks.
  • Processes required documents through HRIS to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions, including new hire information, payroll changes, and terminations.
  • Assists with the preparation of the performance review process.
  • Ensures all personnel files are up-to-date and in accordance with regulatory standards.
  • Ensures various human resource policies and procedures are communicated and adhered to; conducts in-service training on new or updated policies.
  • Administers and coordinates documentation for Leave with associated documents.
  • Ensures all up-to-date legal postings are placed in a designated area within established timeframes.
  • Performs other duties as required and assigned.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree and/or one to three years' direct human resources experience.
  • Payroll or bookkeeping experience required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written required.
  • Outstanding organizational skills.
  • Able to type 30+ wpm; 10 key a plus.

Nice-to-haves

  • PHR certification is a plus.
  • Experience in Employee File Record Management: 5 years (Preferred)
  • Master's degree (Preferred)
