About the position

Join First American Title Insurance Company as an HR Data Analyst specializing in Data Science, where you will play a crucial role in partnering with HR and leadership to drive advanced analytics initiatives. This remote position is designed for an experienced People Analytics Data Scientist who is passionate about utilizing data to inform strategic decisions. You will be responsible for building predictive models, performing comprehensive data analysis, and creating impactful visualizations that resonate with stakeholders. Your work will involve analyzing large datasets related to HR, conducting sample design, and recommending innovative solutions that enhance our HR practices. In this role, you will collaborate closely with various stakeholders to implement tailored data science solutions that meet the unique needs of the organization. You will build and validate quantitative models using advanced statistical techniques, perform ad-hoc statistical analyses, and engage in exploratory data analysis to uncover insights. Your ability to create powerful data visualizations will be essential in communicating findings effectively to stakeholders. Additionally, you will guide HR in report creation within Workday, ensuring adherence to data standards and governance. As a mentor to team members, you will share best practices in data science and analytics, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. This position requires a self-motivated individual who can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the overall success of the HR analytics team.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with stakeholders to implement tailored data science solutions.
  • Build and validate quantitative models using advanced statistical techniques.
  • Perform ad-hoc statistical analyses and exploratory data analysis.
  • Create powerful data visualizations to resonate with stakeholders.
  • Guide HR on report creation within Workday and collaborate on data standards and governance.
  • Develop and present documentation of models and solutions.
  • Mentor team members and share best practices in data science & analytics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or I/O Psychology; Master's/PhD preferred.
  • Proficiency in statistical modeling (e.g., Regression, Clustering, Time Series) and data mining methods.
  • Experience with R, Python, SAS, SQL, and data visualization tools.
  • Strong MS Office skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management capabilities.
  • Knowledge of Workday reporting and analytics tools advantageous.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • 3+ years of experience in data analysis, modeling, and visualization.
  • Experience in HR Analytics preferred.
