About the position

The HR Data Analyst will play a crucial role in the Human Resources department by collecting, organizing, interpreting, and summarizing HR data to provide actionable insights that assist in decision-making, policy formulation, and workforce planning. This position is essential for supporting various HR functions through regular reporting and data analysis. The analyst will utilize tools such as Excel and Workday to generate reports and identify patterns and trends in the data, which will inform HR initiatives and strategies. In this remote role, the HR Data Analyst will support reporting needs across all HR functions, including configuring new reports, troubleshooting existing ones, and advising on potential reporting solutions available within Workday. The analyst will be involved in the entire HR data lifecycle, which includes data extraction from multiple sources, preparing data for analysis through file merging and data cleaning, and creating metrics and analytics to guide future HR activities. This will also involve reporting information through data visualization techniques, such as charts and graphs, as well as performing advanced statistical analyses when necessary. The HR Data Analyst will consult with HR stakeholders to understand their business requirements and provide data-driven solutions. This includes generating recommendations based on data, metrics, and analytics to enhance HR policies and initiatives. The role also involves ongoing support for HR projects, including schedule planning, task tracking, and communication with team members. The analyst will be expected to maintain and update files, including weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports, and perform other duties as assigned to support the HR team effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, organize, interpret, and summarize HR data for decision-making and policy formulation.
  • Support reporting needs across all HR functions, including configuration and troubleshooting of reports in Workday.
  • Participate in the HR data lifecycle, including data extraction, preparation, and analysis.
  • Create metrics and analytics to guide future HR activities and report findings through data visualization techniques.
  • Consult with HR stakeholders to identify recommendations and feedback for HR policies and initiatives.
  • Provide ongoing support to HR projects, including schedule planning and task tracking.
  • Meet with HR stakeholders to understand business requirements and generate data-driven solutions.
  • Maintain and update files, including weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in a quantitative discipline such as mathematics, statistics, economics, or computer science.
  • Master's degree preferred in industrial/organizational psychology.
  • One year or more of experience in collecting, organizing, interpreting, and presenting analyses.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Excel Pivot Table.
  • One year or more of experience with Microsoft SharePoint and HRIS data and systems.
  • One year or more of experience creating Workday Custom Reports and Calculated Fields.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in advanced statistical analyses such as regression, correlation, and ANOVA.
  • Ability to present complex information clearly and understandably to others.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and creativity in finding solutions.
