About the position

The HR Data Analyst will play a crucial role in the Human Resources department by collecting, organizing, interpreting, and summarizing HR data to provide actionable insights that assist in decision-making, policy formulation, and workforce planning. This position is designed for a detail-oriented individual who can manage data effectively and provide regular reporting through tools such as Excel and Workday. The analyst will be responsible for identifying data patterns and trends, which will support various HR initiatives and projects. In this role, the HR Data Analyst will support reporting needs across all HR functions, including configuring new reports, troubleshooting existing reports, and advising on potential reporting solutions available within Workday. The analyst will engage in the HR data lifecycle, which includes data extraction from multiple sources, preparing data for analysis through file merging and data cleaning, and creating metrics and analytics to inform future HR activities. The position requires the ability to visualize data through charts and graphs, as well as perform advanced statistical analyses when necessary. The HR Data Analyst will consult with HR stakeholders to understand their business requirements and provide data-driven recommendations for HR policies and initiatives. Ongoing support for HR projects will also be a key responsibility, which includes schedule planning, task tracking, and communication with team members. The analyst will need to maintain and update files, including weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports, ensuring that all data is accurate and up-to-date.

Responsibilities

  • Support reporting needs across all HR functions including configuration for new reports, troubleshooting existing reports, and advising on potential reporting solutions available within Workday.
  • Participate in the HR data lifecycle including data extraction from multiple sources, preparing data for analysis, and creating metrics and analytics for reporting.
  • Maintain and update files including weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports.
  • Consult with HR stakeholders to identify recommendations and feedback for HR policies and initiatives using data, metrics, and analytics.
  • Provide ongoing support to HR projects and initiatives including schedule planning, task tracking, and communication with team members.
  • Meet with HR stakeholders to understand business requirements and generate data-driven solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in a quantitative discipline such as mathematics, statistics, economics, computer science, MIS or related field.
  • Master's degree preferred in industrial/organizational psychology.
  • One (1) year or more of experience collecting, organizing, interpreting, and presenting simple and advanced analyses.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office including Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools such as Tableau or Excel Pivot Table required.
  • One (1) year or more with Microsoft SharePoint and HRIS data and systems preferred.
  • One (1) year or more creating Workday Custom Reports & Calculated Fields.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a remote work environment.
  • Familiarity with advanced statistical analysis techniques such as regression, correlation, and ANOVA.
