About the position

The HR Data Analyst will play a crucial role in collecting, organizing, interpreting, and summarizing human resource data to provide actionable insights that assist HR in decision-making, policy formulation, workforce planning, and other HR functions. This position involves regular reporting through tools such as Excel and Workday, as well as developing methods to identify data patterns and trends from various information sources. The analyst will also support various HR initiatives by providing project support and ensuring that data-driven solutions are implemented effectively. In this role, the HR Data Analyst will support reporting needs across all HR functions, which includes configuring new reports, troubleshooting existing reports, and advising on potential reporting solutions available within Workday. The analyst will participate in the HR data lifecycle, which encompasses data extraction from multiple sources, preparing data for analysis through file merging and data cleaning, and creating metrics and analytics to inform future activities. Reporting will be conducted through data visualization techniques, such as charts and graphs, as well as through advanced statistical analyses when necessary. The analyst will also maintain and update files, including weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports. Collaboration with HR stakeholders is essential, as the analyst will use data, metrics, and analytics to provide recommendations and feedback for HR policies and initiatives. Ongoing support for HR projects will include schedule planning, task tracking, and communication with team members or key operatives. The analyst will meet with HR stakeholders to understand business requirements and generate data-driven solutions that align with organizational goals. Additionally, the analyst may perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall effectiveness of the HR department.

Responsibilities

  • Support reporting needs across all HR functions including configuration for new reports and troubleshooting existing reports.

  • Consult with HR stakeholders to identify recommendations and feedback for HR policies and initiatives.
  • Provide ongoing support to HR projects and initiatives including schedule planning and task tracking.
  • Meet with HR stakeholders to understand business requirements and generate data-driven solutions.
  • Maintain and update files including weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in a quantitative discipline such as mathematics, statistics, economics, computer science, MIS or related field.
  • Master's degree preferred in industrial/organizational psychology.
  • One (1) year or more of experience collecting, organizing, interpreting, and presenting simple and advanced analyses.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office including Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Experience using data visualization tools such as Tableau or Excel Pivot Table required.
  • One (1) year or more with Microsoft SharePoint and HRIS data and systems preferred.
  • One (1) year or more creating Workday Custom Reports & Calculated Fields.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a remote work environment.
  • Familiarity with advanced statistical analyses such as regression, correlation, ANOVA.
