About the position

The HR Data Analyst will play a crucial role in the Human Resources department by collecting, organizing, interpreting, and summarizing HR data to provide actionable insights that assist in decision-making, policy formulation, and workforce planning. This position is designed for a detail-oriented individual who can manage data effectively and provide regular reporting through tools such as Excel and Workday. The analyst will be responsible for identifying data patterns and trends, which will support various HR initiatives and projects. In this role, the HR Data Analyst will support reporting needs across all HR functions, including configuring new reports, troubleshooting existing reports, and advising on potential reporting solutions available within Workday. The analyst will engage in the HR data lifecycle, which includes data extraction from multiple sources, preparing data for analysis through file merging and data cleaning, and creating metrics and analytics to inform future HR activities. The position also involves maintaining and updating files, including weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports. Collaboration with HR stakeholders is essential, as the analyst will consult with them to identify recommendations and feedback based on data, metrics, and analytics. The role requires ongoing support for HR projects and initiatives, including schedule planning, task tracking, and communication with team members. The HR Data Analyst will meet with stakeholders to understand business requirements and generate data-driven solutions that align with HR policies and initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, organize, interpret, and summarize human resource data.
  • Provide regular reporting using Excel and Workday.
  • Identify data patterns and trends to support HR initiatives.
  • Support reporting needs across all HR functions, including configuration and troubleshooting of reports.
  • Engage in the HR data lifecycle, including data extraction, preparation, and analysis.
  • Create metrics and analytics to inform future HR activities.
  • Maintain and update files, including weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports.
  • Consult with HR stakeholders to provide data-driven recommendations.
  • Support HR projects and initiatives, including schedule planning and task tracking.
  • Meet with HR stakeholders to understand business requirements and generate solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline such as mathematics, statistics, economics, computer science, or related field.
  • Master's degree in industrial/organizational psychology preferred.
  • One year or more of experience in collecting, organizing, interpreting, and presenting analyses.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Excel Pivot Table.
  • One year or more of experience with Microsoft SharePoint and HRIS data and systems preferred.
  • One year or more of experience creating Workday Custom Reports & Calculated Fields.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a human resources environment.
  • Familiarity with advanced statistical analyses such as regression, correlation, and ANOVA.
  • Strong communication skills to present information clearly.
