About the position

The HR Data Analyst will play a crucial role in the Human Resources department by collecting, organizing, interpreting, and summarizing HR data to provide actionable insights that assist in decision-making, policy formulation, and workforce planning. This position is designed for a detail-oriented individual who can manage data effectively and provide regular reporting through tools such as Excel and Workday. The analyst will be responsible for identifying data patterns and trends, which will support various HR initiatives and projects. In this role, the HR Data Analyst will support reporting needs across all HR functions, including configuring new reports, troubleshooting existing reports, and advising on potential reporting solutions available within Workday. The analyst will engage in the HR data lifecycle, which includes data extraction from multiple sources, preparing data for analysis through file merging and data cleaning, and creating metrics and analytics to inform future HR activities. The position also involves maintaining and updating files, including weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports, and utilizing data visualization techniques to present findings effectively. Collaboration with HR stakeholders is essential, as the analyst will consult with them to understand business requirements and generate data-driven solutions. This includes providing ongoing support for HR projects, managing schedules, tracking tasks, and communicating relevant trends to team members and key operatives. The HR Data Analyst will also be expected to perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the HR department.

Responsibilities

  • Support reporting needs across all HR functions including configuration for new reports and troubleshooting existing reports.
  • Participate in the HR data lifecycle including data extraction, preparation for analysis, and reporting information through data visualization techniques.
  • Consult with HR stakeholders to identify recommendations and feedback for HR policies and initiatives using data, metrics, and analytics.
  • Provide ongoing support to HR projects and initiatives including schedule planning, task tracking, and communication with team members.
  • Meet with HR stakeholders to understand business requirements and generate data-driven solutions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in a quantitative discipline such as mathematics, statistics, economics, computer science, MIS or related field.
  • Master's degree preferred in industrial/organizational psychology.
  • One (1) year or more of experience collecting, organizing, interpreting, and presenting analyses.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office including Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools such as Tableau or Excel Pivot Table required.
  • One (1) year or more with Microsoft SharePoint and HRIS data and systems preferred.
  • One (1) year or more creating Workday Custom Reports & Calculated Fields.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a remote work environment.
  • Familiarity with advanced statistical analyses such as regression, correlation, and ANOVA.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to present complex data clearly.
