About the position

The HR Data Analyst will play a crucial role in collecting, organizing, interpreting, and summarizing human resource data to provide actionable insights that assist HR in decision-making, policy formulation, workforce planning, and other HR functions. This position is designed for a remote work environment, allowing the analyst to operate from home while contributing to the HR team's objectives. The analyst will be responsible for regular reporting, utilizing tools such as Excel and Workday, and will devise methods for identifying data patterns and trends from various information sources. Additionally, the role involves providing project support on various HR initiatives, ensuring that data-driven solutions are effectively implemented. In this role, the HR Data Analyst will support reporting needs across all HR functions, which includes configuring new reports, troubleshooting existing reports, and advising on potential reporting solutions available within Workday. The analyst will also engage in the HR data lifecycle, which encompasses data extraction from multiple sources, preparing data for analysis through file merging and data cleaning, and creating metrics and analytics to inform future HR activities. Reporting will be conducted through data visualization techniques, such as charts and graphs, as well as through advanced statistical analyses when necessary. The analyst will maintain and update files, including weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports, ensuring that all data is accurate and up-to-date. Collaboration with HR stakeholders is a key aspect of this position. The analyst will consult with these stakeholders to identify recommendations and feedback for HR policies and initiatives based on data, metrics, and analytics. Ongoing support for HR projects and initiatives will also be part of the role, which includes schedule planning, task tracking, and communication with team members or key operatives. The analyst will meet with HR stakeholders to understand business requirements and generate data-driven solutions that align with the organization's goals.

Responsibilities

  • Support reporting needs across all HR functions including configuration for new reports, troubleshooting existing reports, and advising on potential reporting solutions available within Workday.
  • Support and participate in the HR data lifecycle including data extraction or gathering from multiple sources; prepare data for analysis including file merging, data cleaning and entering formulas.
  • Create metrics and analytics and report information through data visualization techniques as well as through mathematical calculations and/or advanced statistical analyses as needed.
  • Maintain and update files including weekly, monthly and quarterly reports.
  • Consult with HR stakeholders, using data, metrics, and analytics to identify recommendations and feedback for HR policies and initiatives.
  • Provide ongoing support to HR projects and initiatives including schedule planning, task tracking, communication/correspondences with team members or key operatives, and reporting relevant trends.
  • Meet with HR stakeholders to understand business requirements in order to generate data-driven solutions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required preferably in a quantitative discipline such as mathematics, statistics, economics, computer science, MIS or related field.
  • Master's degree preferred in industrial/organizational psychology.
  • One (1) year or more collecting, organizing, interpreting and presenting simple and advanced analyses.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office including Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Experience using data visualization tools such as Tableau or Excel Pivot Table required.
  • One (1) year or more with Microsoft SharePoint and HRIS data and systems preferred.
  • One (1) year or more creating Workday Custom Reports & Calculated Fields.
