About the position

The HR Data Analyst at Ryder System will play a crucial role in collecting, organizing, interpreting, and summarizing human resource data to provide actionable insights that assist HR in decision-making, policy formulation, workforce planning, and other HR functions. This position is fully remote, allowing the analyst to work from home while engaging with various HR stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide tailored solutions. The analyst will be responsible for regular reporting, utilizing tools such as Excel and Workday, and will devise methods for identifying data patterns and trends from available information sources. Additionally, the HR Data Analyst will support various HR initiatives by providing project support and ensuring that data-driven recommendations are made based on thorough analysis. In this role, the analyst will support reporting needs across all HR functions, which includes configuring new reports, troubleshooting existing reports, and advising on potential reporting solutions available within Workday. The analyst will also participate in the HR data lifecycle, which involves data extraction from multiple sources, preparing data for analysis through file merging and data cleaning, and creating metrics and analytics to inform future HR activities. The ability to visualize data through charts and graphs, as well as perform advanced statistical analyses, will be essential for this position. Furthermore, the HR Data Analyst will consult with HR stakeholders to provide insights and recommendations based on data, metrics, and analytics, thereby contributing to the overall effectiveness of HR policies and initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Support reporting needs across all HR functions including configuration for new reports, troubleshooting existing reports, and advising on potential reporting solutions available within Workday.
  • Participate in the HR data lifecycle including data extraction from multiple sources, preparing data for analysis, and maintaining and updating files including weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports.
  • Create metrics and analytics to inform future HR activities and report information through data visualization techniques and advanced statistical analyses as needed.
  • Consult with HR stakeholders to identify recommendations and feedback for HR policies and initiatives based on data analysis.
  • Provide ongoing support to HR projects and initiatives including schedule planning, task tracking, and communication with team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in a quantitative discipline such as mathematics, statistics, economics, computer science, MIS or related field.
  • Master's degree preferred in industrial/organizational psychology.
  • One (1) year or more of experience collecting, organizing, interpreting, and presenting simple and advanced analyses.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office including Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools such as Tableau or Excel Pivot Table required.
  • One (1) year or more with Microsoft SharePoint and HRIS data and systems preferred.
  • One (1) year or more creating Workday Custom Reports & Calculated Fields.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a remote work environment.
  • Familiarity with advanced statistical analysis techniques such as regression, correlation, and ANOVA.
