About the position

The HR Director of Learning and Development will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive training and development programs that enhance employee skills, knowledge, and performance. This leadership role will focus on aligning learning initiatives with organizational goals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and ensuring that all employees have access to the resources they need to succeed. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in talent management, instructional design, and adult education.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic learning and development plan that supports the organization's objectives.
  • Design and implement training programs utilizing various instructional methods including classroom training, e-learning modules, and workshops.
  • Utilize HRIS (Human Resource Information Systems) to track employee progress and program effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with department heads to identify training needs and create tailored programs that address specific skill gaps.
  • Manage talent management initiatives to ensure effective onboarding, performance management, and career development opportunities for employees.
  • Oversee the use of tools such as Adobe Captivate for creating engaging e-learning content.
  • Facilitate conflict management sessions and employee relations training to promote a positive workplace culture.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics; make necessary adjustments based on findings.
  • Stay current with industry trends in human capital management to continuously improve learning strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in instructional design and adult education methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge of talent management practices and employee relations.
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems for tracking training metrics and employee development.
  • Proficiency in program design with experience using tools like Adobe Captivate.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present information clearly in both classroom settings and one-on-one interactions.
  • Strong conflict management skills with a focus on fostering positive employee relations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments while demonstrating strong leadership capabilities.
