About the position

The Human Resources Director at Bounce Curl is responsible for leading and developing the HR team, ensuring legal compliance, and fostering strategic collaboration with leadership. This role encompasses overseeing core HR functions such as recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee development, all within a fast-paced and innovative environment dedicated to empowering individuals with diverse hair types.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with senior leadership to align HR strategies with Bounce Curl's growth and talent needs.
  • Develop and execute employee training programs that support skill-building and career growth.
  • Oversee performance reviews, improvement plans, promotions, and terminations to ensure effective and fair employee development.
  • Administer comprehensive HR programs covering compensation, benefits, leave, employee relations, and compliance.
  • Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with document requirements through regular audits.
  • Develop transparent pay scales and conduct annual market compensation analyses.
  • Update HR policies and the employee handbook to reflect best practices and regulatory changes.
  • Collaborate with our PEO to manage payroll, PTO, and benefits administration.
  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes to provide an exceptional candidate experience.
  • Act as a resource for managers and employees, offering guidance and resolving HR inquiries efficiently.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 8-10 years of human resource management experience; minimum of 2-3 years as an HR Director.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification highly preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment and meet deadlines.
