About the position

The Director of Human Resources is responsible for leading and directing all aspects of Human Resources within the organization. This includes corporate HR support, benefits, compensation, employee relations, payroll compliance, and performance management. The role aims to establish strategic HR initiatives that promote a positive workplace and drive business results while ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and direction to all areas of Human Resources.
  • Oversee hiring, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations.
  • Advise and train managers on employment matters and compliance issues.
  • Manage HR staff and ensure efficient HR operations.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Prepare and maintain the employee handbook on policies and procedures.
  • Lead efforts to resolve operational issues and improve HR processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in HR or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 7 years of progressive HR experience in healthcare.
  • Minimum 5 years of senior-level management experience in HR.
  • Knowledge of federal and multi-state employment law.
  • Proficient in HRIS, preferably Workday, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • HR certification preferred.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong customer service skills.
