About the position

The HR Director at Baylor Scott & White Health (BSWH) is responsible for implementing and monitoring human resources programs and policies across assigned business operations. This role focuses on areas such as talent acquisition, compensation, benefits, training and development, employee relations, performance management, and diversity. The HR Director acts as a strategic partner, ensuring that HR solutions align with organizational needs and objectives while fostering a positive workforce engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Directs strategic HR services as HR business partner for an assigned area of responsibility for BSWH.
  • Identifies, establishes, and cultivates relationships with business and clinical partners to ensure HR solutions meet organizational needs.
  • Meets regularly with operational leaders to develop HR strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Advises leaders on performance standards, employee engagement, and retention strategies.
  • Develops partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added services and enhance organizational effectiveness.
  • Coaches leadership teams to improve their HR competencies and best practices.
  • Applies organizational development tools to drive change and maximize employee engagement.
  • Translates strategic business plans into HR operational plans that add value.
  • Leads HR planning and development to enhance organizational alignment and support business needs.
  • Collaborates with business leaders to implement performance and talent management programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in Human Resources or related field, with healthcare experience preferred.
  • Experience in a leadership role preferred.
  • HR Certifications preferred (e.g., SPHR, PHR, SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP).
  • Experience as an HR business partner supporting multiple client groups preferred.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to create strong business relationships with leaders and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across a large, matrixed healthcare organization.

Nice-to-haves

  • Healthcare experience preferred.
  • Experience in a leadership role preferred.
  • HR Certifications (e.g., SPHR, PHR, SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP) preferred.
