About the position

ATS Scientific Products is seeking a Director of Human Resources to join our team in Warminster, PA. This is a unique opportunity for a creative and driven HR professional to take on a leadership role within a growing business segment. The successful candidate will leverage their extensive human resources knowledge, leadership capabilities, and business acumen to serve as a strategic business partner, enhancing HR practices in a fast-paced, continuous improvement environment. In this role, the Director will be responsible for aligning human resources plans with the strategic goals of the business, ensuring that HR initiatives support overall business objectives. This includes collaborating with SP's business leaders and internal stakeholders to design, plan, and deliver high-quality HR processes that encompass organizational reviews, change management, talent acquisition, talent development, performance management, compensation planning, and workforce planning. The Director will also lead initiatives to attract and retain top talent, oversee performance management processes, and ensure competitive compensation practices. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on ethical standards and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, while fostering a culture of continuous learning and development. They will be expected to develop and implement training programs that enhance employee and manager skills, ensuring that all business activities are performed to the highest standards. This role requires a hands-on approach, with the Director expected to demonstrate leadership in health, safety, and environmental compliance, ensuring that all team members are accountable for maintaining a safe workplace.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic business advisor to establish credibility and build long-lasting relationships.
  • Align human resources plans with the SP business strategy, goals, and needs.
  • Develop and execute people initiatives that support overall business goals.
  • Lead organizational-design and change-management initiatives that support business growth and maintain a high-performing workforce.
  • Own the talent attraction and retention strategy to support the business's growth plan.
  • Oversee recruitment activities, resource and capacity planning, onboarding, and related processes.
  • Lead performance management initiatives and oversee site compensation.
  • Ensure an ongoing proactive approach to progressive HR programs, processes, and policies.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee and manager skills and knowledge.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety rules and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or equivalent required; Master's degree preferred.
  • At least 12 years of experience in human resources, including 5 years managing others in the HR function, preferably in a manufacturing company.
  • Experience working directly with business leaders as a strategic HR business partner.
  • 3+ years of lean/continuous improvement experience preferred.
  • Proven experience in organizational and cultural change management.
  • Solid business acumen and experience in developing, recruiting, and retaining a high-performing team.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a decentralized parent company is a plus.
  • Familiarity with legal counsel to ensure compliance in HR-related matters.
  • Career succession potential for VPHR role.
