About the position

Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic HR Director to lead their Human Resources department. The HR Director will be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies, policies, and programs that align with business objectives and promote employee engagement, retention, and development. This role is pivotal in ensuring that the HR function supports the overall mission and goals of the organization, fostering a culture that values diversity, equity, and inclusion. The HR Director will oversee all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, training and development, and offboarding. This includes leading and managing a team of HR professionals, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to foster their growth and development. The HR Director will partner with department heads and senior leadership to understand their talent needs and develop solutions to attract, retain, and develop top talent. In addition, the HR Director will drive initiatives to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within the organization, creating a culture of belonging where all employees feel valued and respected. Compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations is essential, and the HR Director will stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices in HR. Managing employee relations issues, including investigations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions, will also be a key responsibility. The HR Director will oversee compensation and benefits programs to ensure competitiveness, fairness, and alignment with organizational objectives. Collaborating with the executive team, the HR Director will develop and execute workforce planning and talent management strategies to support business growth and expansion. Championing employee engagement initiatives and fostering a positive work environment that promotes employee satisfaction, productivity, and retention will be critical to the success of this role.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and programs in alignment with the company's goals and objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations and experience ensuring compliance in a complex regulatory environment.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing HR strategies, policies, and programs that drive business results and promote employee engagement and retention.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop a high-performing HR team and drive continuous improvement and innovation in HR practices and processes.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business objectives into actionable HR initiatives and drive results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • SHRM-SCP or SPHR certification preferred.
