About the position

The HR Director at First Choice Dental is a hands-on leadership role focused on enhancing employee engagement and aligning HR practices with business goals. This position is pivotal in fostering a positive workplace culture, managing various HR functions, and ensuring compliance with HR policies. The HR Director will be instrumental in talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, and change management, contributing to the overall success of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the recruitment process, including sourcing candidates and collaborating with hiring managers.
  • Serve as the trusted point of contact for employee relations, providing guidance and resolving conflicts.
  • Manage the performance review process, offering coaching and feedback to employees.
  • Oversee compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness and transparency.
  • Update and ensure compliance with HR policies and legal requirements.
  • Identify and implement training and development opportunities for team members.
  • Monitor employee satisfaction and work with managers to enhance engagement and retention.
  • Manage change within the organization, supporting employees through transitions.
  • Act as the primary contact for employee health and safety, managing workers' compensation claims.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of hands-on HR experience with a broad understanding of recruitment, employee relations, compensation, benefits, and performance management.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to engage effectively with all levels of staff.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to challenges.
  • Adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced and changing environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, especially regarding compliance and records management.
  • Understanding of confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive information.
  • Results-driven mindset, committed to making a positive impact.
