About the position

The HR Director at Bishop Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is responsible for overseeing all human resources functions within the facility. This role includes managing payroll, employee benefits, compliance with labor regulations, and recruitment processes. The HR Director will also supervise front desk staff and participate in facility management meetings, ensuring that HR practices align with organizational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate and complete schedules for the nursing department.
  • Coordinate all payroll timecards and issues by acting as the payroll liaison between the Payroll Department and the facility.
  • Coordinate all employee benefits by acting as the liaison between Payroll Dept & Benefits Administrator.
  • Supervise the front desk staff in all aspects.
  • Ensure compliance with the Department of Labor and Department of Health for all new hires, including time-clock enrollment, criminal background checks, reference checks, and license verification.
  • Manage recruitment needs by determining open positions, screening, and interviewing applicants.
  • Participate in facility management meetings as required.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Handle HR duties, including employee disciplines in collaboration with department heads, changes in payroll status, terminations, resignations, and retirements.
  • Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

  • Must have prior experience in an HR or staffing setting.
  • Background or degree in HR strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of human resource administration.
  • Inter-personal, organizational, and problem-solving skills are required.
  • Must have excellent communication skills.
