About the position

Fitzco is seeking an HR Director to lead and manage various human resources functions, focusing on agency culture, benefits coordination, performance review management, and employee onboarding and offboarding. The role emphasizes developing a people-first culture and ensuring compliance with HR policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Administers and maintains employee insurance plans, including enrollments, changes, and terminations, acting as a liaison between employees and benefits providers.
  • Leads processing of new hires, including I-9 process management, benefits administration, background checks, and other onboarding requirements.
  • Drives Fitzco's efforts in people-first culture development across all aspects of the agency experience.
  • Leads processing of resignations/terminations and offboarding procedures.
  • Leads preparation and management of performance review processes.
  • Assists with recruitment and interview processes, tracking candidate status in HRIS and responding with follow-up letters at the end of the recruiting process.
  • Ensures that benefits and hiring practices are administered in accordance with federal and state regulations.
  • Coaches Managers and Supervisors in proper employee relations resolutions, including documented coaching and disciplinary action.
  • Performs internal customer service functions by answering employee and management requests and questions.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • At least 8 years of experience as an HR Manager or Associate Director.
  • Exposure to Labor Law and employment equity regulations.
  • Effective HR administration and people management skills.
  • Exposure to payroll practices.
  • Full understanding of HR functions and best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
  • Highly computer literate with capability in email, MS Office, and related business and communication tools.
