About the position

The HR Generalist and Talent Acquisition Specialist role at Atomica is a dynamic position that combines responsibilities in both talent acquisition and human resources management. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in sourcing and hiring top-tier talent while also supporting various HR functions, including employee relations, compliance, and organizational development. This position is integral to fostering a positive workplace culture and ensuring a smooth onboarding process for new employees.

Responsibilities

  • Source, screen, and interview candidates for various roles across the organization.
  • Coordinate and conduct interviews, manage candidate communications, and facilitate the offer and onboarding processes.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand job requirements, create job descriptions, and determine appropriate recruitment channels.
  • Track and analyze recruiting metrics to improve hiring processes and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Ensure a positive candidate and employee experience by fostering a supportive and inclusive workplace culture.
  • Provide training to interviewers and hiring managers on recruitment best practices.
  • Support HR functions including employee relations, performance management, and policy implementation.
  • Assist with new employee onboarding, ensuring a smooth transition into the company.
  • Handle employee inquiries and provide guidance on HR policies and procedures.
  • Assist in administering employee benefits programs, including health insurance and retirement plans.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with the HR team to develop and implement HR initiatives that support business objectives and enhance employee engagement.
  • Ensure legal compliance of HR state and federal regulations, applicable employment laws, and update policies as required.
  • Participate in HR projects and initiatives, such as diversity and inclusion programs and employee wellness activities.
  • Provide effective HR advisory services to employees regarding absence and health issues, conduct and capability, grievance matters, and organizational change.
  • Be the primary backup for payroll processing, including updates to employee files and tracking vacation/sick pay.
  • Handle all administrative tasks for onboarding, new hire orientation, and exit interviews, including data entry into HR information systems.
  • Assist in the communication, interpretation, and upkeep of employee handbook and organizational chart.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in talent acquisition and HR functions.
  • Experience with full-cycle recruiting and various sourcing techniques.
  • Strong understanding of HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of HR federal laws and regulations.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with candidates, hiring managers, and other stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with applicant tracking systems and HR software, preferably Greenhouse and ADP.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) would be a plus.
  • Familiarity with HR analytics and data-driven decision-making.
