About the position

The HR Generalist at Quest Events is responsible for managing payroll processing, benefits administration, and 401(k) administration. This role requires expertise in payroll systems, particularly Paylocity, and the ability to handle confidential information with integrity. The position is full-time and in-office, with typical hours from 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday to Friday, but may require additional hours due to the company's operational needs.

Responsibilities

  • Compile and manage payroll data including garnishments, time off, insurance, and 401(k) deductions.
  • Responsible for weekly payroll processing and calculating additional earnings, reimbursements, and severance pay as needed.
  • Cooperate with State and Federal reporting requirements for payroll taxes and other documents.
  • Assist in carrying out various human resources programs such as rewards programs for excellent job performance.
  • Maintain Time & Attendance through Paylocity and contact supervisors for missing punches and PTO discrepancies.
  • Manage and administer employee benefits including open enrollment and new hire enrollments.
  • Serve as 401(k) administrator, completing file feeds and maintenance reporting.
  • Conduct meetings and trainings with field managers regarding Paylocity and company policies.
  • Maintain HRIS records and compile reports for audits and recurring requirements.
  • Manage unemployment claims and ensure compliance with reporting requirements.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an HR Generalist.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; BBA or degree in a related field preferred.
  • Knowledge of employment, payroll, and labor laws; understanding of benefits and 401(k).
  • Outstanding knowledge of MS Office and HRIS systems; expert knowledge in Paylocity is a plus.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • High ethical behavior, unquestionable integrity, and character.

Nice-to-haves

  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or other HR certifications preferred.
  • Additional HR training will be a plus.
