About the position

The Human Resources Generalist (Bilingual) position at Dessert Holdings in Aurora, CO, is designed for individuals ready to advance their careers in manufacturing operations. This role focuses on fostering a high-performance culture through effective employee relations, HR administration, and compliance with legal regulations. The HR Generalist will support various HR functions, including performance management and employee engagement, while ensuring the safety and quality of the workforce and products.

Responsibilities

  • Provides full cycle employee relations activities including communications, conflict resolution, and coaching/education to employees and managers.
  • Conducts employee investigations and makes recommendations for resolution.
  • Manages the investigation process from start to finish with proper documentation and follow-up.
  • Partners with managers on policies, practices, and procedures to ensure compliance with legal regulations.
  • Assists with implementing HR policies and procedures and responds to employee inquiries.
  • Provides daily HR guidance and support on benefits administration, leave of absence, payroll coordination, and policy interpretation.
  • Assists with compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
  • Assists with performance management efforts, including annual performance review training.
  • Participates in company-wide HR initiatives and long-term HR planning.
  • Establishes and maintains department records and reports.
  • Conducts safety investigations and training meetings as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree is highly preferred or relevant experience in lieu of education.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish (speaking/reading/writing).
  • 3-5 years of professional human resources experience required.
  • 1-2 years of HR experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Solid knowledge of human resources methods and best practices.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws governing employers and employees.
  • Strong conflict resolution and mediation skills.
  • Effective speaking, writing, and listening skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, MS Excel, and MS Word required.

Nice-to-haves

  • PHR or SPHR certification a plus.
