About the position

The HR Generalist - Compensation and Benefits plays a vital role in supporting various HR functions, including benefits administration and compensation planning. This position involves engaging with employees to address concerns, interpreting policies, and contributing to HR initiatives. The HR Generalist will work closely with the HR Director and Manager to ensure compliance with regulations and to enhance the overall employee experience.

Responsibilities

  • Update compensation data in the HRIS for accurate processing and reporting of wages.
  • Complete salary surveys and coordinate payroll wage changes according to agreements and market surveys.
  • Prepare compensation analysis and recommendations for new position requests.
  • Facilitate enrollment in benefit plans for new hires and newly eligible employees.
  • Perform monthly reconciliation of benefits against the HRIS and general ledger accounts.
  • Coordinate annual open enrollment and develop educational materials for employees.
  • Participate in meetings with the Hospital's broker to evaluate plan options and implement changes.
  • Review and process applications for the Tuition Assistance program and Student Loan Repayment Program.
  • Assist the HR Manager with special projects and routine HR tasks.

Requirements

  • 3 - 5 years of progressively responsible experience in related HR program areas.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, business, or related field preferred.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and ability to communicate complex information clearly.
  • Advanced skills in Excel and Word, with a high level of competency in computer applications.
  • Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.

Nice-to-haves
