About the position

The HR Generalist (Contract) position at PlayStation involves providing comprehensive HR support to the Naughty Dog studio. The role focuses on promoting positive employee relations, managing HR processes, and collaborating with various HR teams to enhance employee engagement and development. This temporary position is expected to last for 12 months with a possibility of conversion to a full-time role.

Responsibilities

  • Promote positive employee relationships through communication and interpretation of HR policies.
  • Assist people managers and the studio with HR-related questions and issues.
  • Partner with HRBP to create and implement talent strategies tailored to the studio's needs.
  • Manage all full cycle HR processes from onboarding to offboarding, including benefits and employee relations.
  • Address employee relations issues and collaborate with Senior HR Partner on complex matters.
  • Conduct and analyze employee exit interviews.
  • Assist the Studio Operations team with employee engagement and studio events.
  • Monitor employee engagement through regular check-ins.
  • Complete special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in HR/Business or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 3 years of HR experience in a fast-paced, high-tech, or creative environment.
  • Working knowledge of HR laws, federal regulations, and California state laws.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience working with individuals at all organizational levels.
  • Innovative and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to build business relationships with managers and employees.
  • High level of initiative and responsiveness to resolve problems quickly.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Experience using Workday or other HR systems.
