About the position

Volt Workforce Solutions is seeking an HR Generalist to join our team in Kennesaw, GA. In this role, you will be responsible for processing and managing Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance requests, ensuring that all required documentation is complete and accurate. You will act as a liaison between government agencies and employees to facilitate the clearance process, maintaining confidential and detailed records of security clearances while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. As an HR Generalist, you will provide support in addressing employee inquiries and concerns, serving as a point of contact for HR-related issues. You will assist in resolving employee relations issues, which includes conducting investigations and recommending appropriate actions. Your role will also involve fostering a positive employee relations climate by promoting open communication and trust, supporting conflict resolution initiatives, and providing mediation services as needed. Additionally, you will develop and implement programs aimed at improving employee engagement and job satisfaction. You will ensure adherence to company policies and procedures, providing guidance to managers and employees on policy interpretation. Tracking and analyzing employee relations trends will be part of your responsibilities, along with providing recommendations for improvement. You will also support the development of performance improvement plans and handle employee data management, including entry and maintenance in the IMS system, generating reports as needed. Administrative support to the HR department will be required, which includes preparing reports and presentations. You will collaborate with other departments to ensure cohesive and effective HR service delivery across the organization. Managing HR communications, including distributing company announcements and updates, and maintaining HR content on the intranet will also be part of your duties. This is a full-time opportunity with a schedule of normal business hours, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of HR experience.
  • Experience with DoD security clearance processes is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and employment laws.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of confidentiality and integrity.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
