About the position

The HR Generalist position at Wells Enterprises in Henderson, NV, is designed to provide comprehensive support to assigned client groups by executing the tactical aspects of Human Resources. This role encompasses various HR functions, including employee relations, labor relations, training, staffing, compensation, and benefits. The HR Generalist will interpret company policies and counsel employees on employment issues, ensuring compliance with established guidelines. Additionally, the position involves consulting with supervisors and managers on basic labor and employee relations issues, assisting management at the tactical level to resolve issues and develop effective solutions. The HR Generalist will partner with the management team to facilitate, administer, and execute established performance management processes. This includes conducting 1:1 meetings, coaching discussions, disciplinary actions, performance development or improvement plans, and formal performance reviews. The role also requires participation in the recruitment and selection process for both internal and external candidates, where the HR Generalist will be responsible for interviewing and providing feedback on hiring decisions. Collaboration with the Compensation team is essential to determine equitable employment offers. In addition to these responsibilities, the HR Generalist will coordinate departmental changes such as promotions, transfers, equity adjustments, and restructures. They will work closely with management to create and update existing job descriptions as necessary. The role also involves delivering training and development programs in partnership with the Organizational Development (OD) team as needed. The HR Generalist will actively support organizational change and continuous improvement efforts in conjunction with the OD team, ensuring that the HR function aligns with the overall business strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day support to assigned client groups in Human Resources areas.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management or related field required.
  • 0-3 years of HR-related experience.
  • Knowledge of HR policies and procedures.
  • General knowledge of employment laws and practices (ADA, FMLA, EEO, etc.).
  • Solid communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Good interpersonal skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Analytical skills and good organization skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to coach front-line management.
  • Ability to perform duties with moderate supervision.
  • Maintains a high level of confidentiality.
  • Ability to provide timely responses and deliver high-level customer service.
  • Adaptability to change and flexibility.
