About the position

The HR Generalist at White Rock Medical Center is responsible for managing the daily administrative functions of the Human Resources department. This includes overseeing the HRIS, benefits administration, staff onboarding, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations. The role is essential in maintaining accurate employee records and supporting the overall mission of delivering exceptional healthcare with compassion and excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Run the daily administrative functions of the HR department.
  • Ensure accurate completion of onboarding processes for new hires.
  • Process employee status updates in the HR system.
  • Maintain current job descriptions for all employees.
  • Administer benefits for new hires and manage life events and status changes.
  • Conduct monthly audits of changes against provider bills.
  • Monitor license and certification requirements and expirations.
  • Assist with audits as required, including CIHQ.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Work on special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • At least one year of general Human Resource experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate's degree in business or HR related field preferred.
  • Supervising experience is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills are essential.
  • Hospital experience as a Generalist preferred.
  • Payroll experience is a plus.
  • Time management skills are necessary.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a hospital setting as a Generalist.
  • Knowledge of HRIS systems and benefits administration.
